ABOUT ME


Hello, Lady Veganista here. I want to just give you guys a bit of background on me and who I am. I've been vegan since January of 2017 but have tried to have been involved in fighting for animal rights and being healthy as humanly possible throughout my life, though there were moments where I failed. When I was younger (15ish), I first found out about organizations such as PETA (though I have learned the truth about them as I've gotten older) and from there began my love for animals and their innate rights. I became vegetarian for a few months but unfortunately the people I was surrounded by weren't great influences and me being so young and naive I allowed myself to fall back into eating meat. As I got older (16-18) I started on a gluten-free meal plan (which I really didn't need, but mainly wanted to see what it was like) and only ate organic, grass-fed meats/poultry and non-gmo fruits/vegetables. At this point in my life I was still learning and collecting information on healthy living and the benefits of eating healthy. Not too long after this I became bulimic which spiraled my healthy eating habits down the drain. This went on for a few years but I finally came out of my bulimic ways and started slowly but surely eating healthier. My journey to becoming a vegan has been a difficult one but I made it this far. I hope to encourage others to become vegan and fight for animal rights. We have to stand up for our own health and for the health of animals across the globe. Their rights matter just as much as our rights!
